DEEANN D’ALESSIO

With over 20 years in the salon industry, DeeAnn brings a variety of experience to the salon chair. She is trained in both the British and French Hair Cutting systems and is a graduate of Cutting Loose’s Advanced Education Program. DeeAnn also completed a rigorous course in 2014 to become an American Board Certified Hair Colorist. The ABCH is an elite group of hair dressers dedicated to setting a standard of excellence and a high bar of competence and knowledge of hair color and its foundation. Additional certifications include: Coppola Keratin Treatment, Brazilian Blowout, the Evolve Volumizer System, and Hairdreams Hair Extensions.

Passionate about education, DeeAnn attended the Jamison Shaw Advanced Training Academy to specialize in French Cutting and the Balayage highlighting technique. The art of Balayage and her love for the technique has inspired DeeAnn to start an Instagram page called The Balay Collage, dedicated to discovering and featuring talented Balayage artists from around the world.

She has traveled to Miami, Orlando, Dallas, Northern and Southern California and Madrid, Spain for Paul Mitchell’s Global Gathering to further her skills in cutting, coloring, and styling classes with industry legends like Scott Cole, Linda Yodici, Stephanie Kocielski, and Mary Cuomo. She has assisted industry icon Candy Shaw, worked in collaboration with Lucie Doughty, Paul Mitchell’s Global Artistic Director, and also been the lead stylist in several photo shoots with legendary photographer Tom Carsons for which her work has been published nationally. As a member of the Education Team at Cutting Loose, she created a Color 101 and correctional color class for the Protégé Training Program to help up-and-coming stylist gain knowledge and confidence in color formulation.

A well-rounded stylist, DeeAnn has extensive experience in cutting, color and styling with an advanced specialty in color and Balayage. She values being an educator and seeing others become more confident with their techniques and grow in their industry. DeeAnn believes that education is power and for those who invest in themselves, it will comeback tenfold behind the chair.
